Dear Avalon Gardens,

Thank you so much for featuring CoFed in your newsletter!

As we begin to launch national programming across the US to help students create sustainable food co-ops on college campuses, we've been incredibly encouraged & honored to see all of the positive public attention that we're receiving. And this summer, we're planning a series of week-long regional intensive trainings that will incubate student leadership on over 20 campuses to create campus-based co-ops and cafes (aka edible classrooms) educating their peers about sustainable food.

However, this effort takes more than good intentions and hard work. It also requires funding. CoFed has committed the month of March to finding 100 people to give monthly donations and help support this national student-led movement for cooperative, sustainable food. Take your inspiration from CoFed's core supporters who include Michael Pollan, 350.org's Bill McKibben, Slow Food USA's Josh Viertel, and Slow Money Northern California: http://www.cofed.org/2011/03/03/cofeds-launch-letter/

Thanks again for spreading the word, and I hope that soon we'll be able to announce the first student-run sustainable food co-op or cafe opening in Arizona ... Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University are a few leading candidates!!

Steer clear of black colored crickets, I fed some to my pet Anole and it died a few days later. Any kind of fly is ok, if you can catch them. Go for Grasshoppers, simple to catch, and they're a good dimension for a Chameleon.

Hi. There's an update to the original greening the desert video here:

http://permaculture.org.au/2009/12/11/greening-the-desert-ii-final/

The video includes the original, then continues with Part II, which documents the site now, and a little of its influence around Jordan since.
